IT'S ME I'M HOME

My name is Estel. I'm 25 years old and I was born in Matadepera, a little town right outside Barcelona, Spain.  After growing up in the mountains, climbing up trees and running barefoot in the forest, I decided to move to the city, where I went to college and realized that there was a world where you could go to the bakery without being asked about your entire family-- or as Belle beautifully put it, "I wanted much more than that provincial life" (although no narcissistic dude wanted to marry me and my dad was not being harassed by wolves).

In Barcelona, I developed a deep love for traveling and a desire to encounter new people and cultures. I decided to move to the USA for one -- ONE -- year in order to learn English. One wedding and three years in the US later, I learned my lesson: go with the flow, you are not in charge.

Now, my husband Alex and I are moving to Spain to spend some time with my family, rediscover the country, and see where life takes us from there. This blog was created in order to connect my two homes: my American one and my European one. Here I'll share my thoughts, recommendations, recipes, pictures,...
